My Story

My name is Chrissy.  I have been hosting our family gatherings for most of my adulthood.  While cooking is not one of my favorite things to do, I seem to provide meals that everyone enjoys.  What I do love to do is make treats.  For years and years, I've made treats that taste great, and that was always enough for me.  Then, one day, a few years ago, a friend of mine forgot that he was on cake duty for his sons first birthday pictures.  He needed a cake asap that his sweet boy could smash into.  I panicked because I knew I needed to make this thing look somewhat presentable for his family's most precious memories.  So, I made a cake.  I got that white icing as smooth as I possibly could with a butter knife and spatula.  I bought a little tube of red writing gel and added some red stitching on my "baseball" cake.  I must say, they were some pretty adorable pictures, but not because of my cake haha.  I got a lot of compliments on that cake, mostly the taste.  I've been told plenty of times that I need to do this professionally, but I knew I needed lots of practice.  My friends and family were more than willing for that part.

Fast forward a few years, many (and I mean MANY) videos, tutorials, blogs, etc. later, I'm still learning.  I'm still practicing.  Who knew that getting the perfect buttercream, and the perfect consistency for royal icing would be so challenging.  My advice to anyone going through the same things right now, keep going.  Be patient.  Keep being willing to learn and grow.  Make your family and friends taste test and give honest reviews (and welcome those reviews).

So, that leads to the present.  I have a full time job (50+ hours per week).  I'm a mom, a wife, a daughter, and a sister, all within my household.  There is a lot going on.  But, I've been passionate about taking my treat making to the next level.  I currently take orders that I can manage on evenings and weekends.  Who knows where this will take me.  It's a pretty amazing feeling to have complete strangers trust in what I do, to create something magical for their special occasions.  I promise to never take that for granted.

If you've made it this far, please look around.  I'm below a beginner level at setting up websites.  Just waiting on my kiddos to teach me how to make it look presentable lol.  And if, after that, you'd like to get more info, or place an order, please contact me.
